    1. I'm not the person running this list, but according to their respective websites, it will be at the Bethesda Row theater and the Angelika Mosaic in Fairfax, VA, on June 21.

  4. How about Indianapolis? Landmark Keystone Arts Theater seems like a natural fit.

  7. New York and LA?!?!?!?! Are you kidding me? I have been waiting since last Summer for this to come out and those are the only places it is playing? "Opening June 7" did not say "Limited Opening".

When will it open nationwide for everyone else??? What about Atlanta?

  11. Really. This needs to open EVERYWHERE. Feel free to have the space aliens (or government) just download it into our heads.

  12. Maybe people need to calm down. If you had bothered to look up the official release date you would have seen that it opens in the US on June 21st and that the New York/LA data are early releases. I'll be looking to see which theaters will be playing it on the 21st.

    1. Entertainment Weekly and other such entertainment magazines had the release date as June 7, so the confusion is understandable. If it's only opening in two cities, they really should be advertising June 21 instead.

I tend to loathe limited release films anyway...I live in rural South Carolina and 'limited release' usually equals a long drive, a long wait for the dvd, or finding a way to pirate it. I'd rather give Joss my money. Hopefully it'll open SOMEWHERE nearby on the 21.

  16. It's very disappointing to search several places only to find that the reason I can't find a listing for my area is I'm not in New York or California. There's been talk about this movie for months on Twitter and Tumblr and I'd really been looking forward to it.

  17. My husband just finished a run of "Much Ado" at Philadelphia Shakespeare and the cast, friends and family are chomping at the bit to see this version from the creator of our all-time favorite TV show. Will be checking listings in Philadelphia June 21 - wish EW hadn't gotten us wound up for June 7.
